IRONMAN 2.4+112+26.2= 140.6miles

I trained for a whole year and was so excited to do my first Ironman in a WARM state!!!! HA

Race Day Forecast- Cloudy high of 62- hum I don't think so!

2500 people- you can see bike T2

I started right up in front next to the triangle on the left. I was swimming with the big boys and that would probably be why I was head locked so many times:)

I tell you what.... if we had to walk into this 61 degree water then swim 100meters to the start line, I'm not sure I would of made it to the start line. whoop whoop- we had to jump in

Take a look at my lips... they are PURPLE! We start the race at 7 am with a 2.4mile swim
Followed by a 112mile bike.... after the really cold water I thought for sure I would warm up, hence my race clothing choice. little did I know that as the day progressed it got colder, I was hit with rain, hail and 25 MPH winds!
Finished with a 26.2 mile run... this was my second time ever to run 26.2 miles...gotta work on my smiles and not be so focused:)
I gotta look up!!!!! man the things I have learned to prepare me for my next Ironman!

I was so happy,2.4+112+26.2= 140.6 miles in 12.06 not to bad for my first.... no watches or computers during the race for me, so I raced the race not knowing where I was in time!

A finish with a sore back (probably from keeping my bike up right in 25mph- i was on a rear disk wheel) but other than that I was ready for more!!!

Halloween 2010

What a great Halloween this year. Both Kids really wanted to be something scary! But poor Tyeann choose a mask and it would of been great if it wasn't 80 degrees outside, she got really hot!

Lonhorn 70.3

this was my second year doing this 70.3 mile triathlon. I needed to do it comfortably so I would know what areas I would need to work on for my big triathlon next month. It was a great race and I PR it by 30minutes!

I love this photo, if you look close you can see the water that I poured over my head!

I really liked looking at everyone face in the back ground. the speaker guy told me to hurry cause someone was going to catch me, well we all know that lately I have been missing 3rd place so all I could think of was I better pick it up cause i don't want to lose. She was nice enough after the finish to tell me that "she was not in my age group" well I didn't know that!

We all look a wake now after the race.

So I still got 4th in my AG but because there were so many in my AG they went 4 deep on awards. whoop whoop- that's Dave Scott giving me my hardware:)

Couldn't leave my little guy out of this weekend- he loved swimming to this dock and play off it.

I knew he was made for me!
