MY FIRST OVERALL FEMALE WIN!

Here's to my first Duathlon- 2.14mile Run, 9 mile bike, 2.14 mile run
I totally forgot my camera but the husband came through with his phone! Oh how I love him for so many reasons.
Jesse pointed out to me about my running and how it looks like I'm floating in the air, as I notice that I have to stretch my legs to match up to everyone else's. This is the start of the race which I would of rather started in the water.
Ok so in this photo I'm pointing and telling Jesse to get moving cause I knew that I was in the lead of all of the women and I really wanted that finish photo of me breaking the finish line tape.
Love this photo! I'm about a mile into the last run and Jon Cole is racing out to the sidewalk to give me five! I have great kids that will wake up at the crack of dawn to cheer me on.
Yep I'm already trying to talk with my husband. I was so sadden not to see a finish line tape to break. This was my first overall female finish 1hour 4mins.

Halloween 2009

Every year they seem to get sooooooo much CANDY!!!!
Tyeann really wanted to be scary this year for Halloween and she mastered that! She added the perfect face expression and never put her hands down! Her title: Spider Ghost

Jon Cole picked this costume out mainly for the sword! He really worked hard at making a "Gladiator" Face!!!
Yep....even Jesse and I dressed up for Halloween this year! "We're Hanz and Frantz and we're here to pump you up"! I know old school but we love SNL.

Longhorn Iron-Man 70.3

1,993 triathletes showed up on October 25, 2009 in Austin Texas to complete the Longhorn Iron-Man 70.3 and I was one of them.... With only two Triathlons under my belt I was hoping to finish the 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run under 6 hours.... The above picture is my age group swimming....can you find me-LOL- I was one of the ones that stayed close to the towers while a few others got a little off course!
Either I was moving really fast or my husband was trying to take a photo at the same time he was crying....

My there were a lot of folks in T1 with me but hey I was in the sixth swimming wave...

Above is a cool photo!!! this is the turn around loop. We had to run past the finish line 3 times and that was a challenge on my mind!

Here I come.....yes it was my turn to go to the finish line!!!!

Everyone is watching for the finishers to enter the area and than we run on the outside of the gate and finish behind these people--- it was very hard to find everyone!

I finished!!!!! 5hrs 55mins- 70.3miles under my belt and I was a little wigged out!
I finished 32nd in my age group and 623rd overall.

Here's my father after the race with me!!!! it was so great to have him there to support me!

Soccer 2009

You can always tell when Tyeann is constraining- by her tongue!
She scored 6 goals this game- but it's 6-8yrs so who's counting-LOL

She has her mommies speed!
What form....looks like I'll be coaching soccer in the future.

1st Bass

We moved into a RV park a few weeks ago and they have a stock tank to fish in. Tyeann caught her first Bass of the season. and Jon Cole was determined to catch his but didn't. Can't wait for them to get older and we can fly up to Alaska and do some real fishin!

Waco Wild West

My First 100 bike miles!!! after 5hours, getting lost with my training partner Blake and three other bikers and averaging 17mph over the 100miles I can say "Did that 100miles"! (not sure if I wanna do it again:) it was something that I think I will need to train a little better for next time. This was my third bike ride my first two were only 30miles but hey it allowed me to know that I can do the bike part of my Iron man coming up at the end of this month.
Love the son waiting for me at the finish line with a sno cone to feed me!
Tyeann was wonderful, it was her first soccer game and I missed it! she said it was cool because she got to see me finish the 100miles and got to have two sno cones! ah to be young again and how the little things make us happy!

My READER

Tyeann tested today at school to find out what reading level she is...... The girl made her family so proud!!! Our little 3rd grader is at a 5.4 grade reading level- I guess all that time out at the lake in the lawn chairs reading really pays off! not to mention she loves it!!!!

MY 2nd Triathlon

This was my Second Triathlon "Dude Girl Women's Only Olympic" 1500meter swim, 24mile bike, 6mile run.
I really liked the jersey for this race and remembered that when I was younger my father and I would run 5k & 10K just for the cool shirts so I went ahead and signed up for this one-Tyeann and I before the start of the race- She is my BIGGEST supporter, even though she did ask to go watch the TX Longhorn Football game instead of going to the Tri:)
some of the crazy to this Triathlon...look at the top pic and bottom- top is looking back towards transition 1 (where you run to after the swim to get your bike) bottom photo is the mile stretch between the swim and transition 1. we had to run this after the swim-nuts! in this bottom photo you can't see the top photo nor the big hill down to the water, my camera lens wouldn't stretch that far:) don't try looking for me in the top photo cause I'm already at my bike-I just asked my husband to make sure he could photo this crazy transition for future memory.
Ok here I'm getting ready for the 1500meter swim, don't worry craziness is typed below.

The swim was located on Lake Travis which has been in a major drought for the past few years. even though we got a great amount of rain the week before this race it didn't add much water. so we had to do TWO laps in the lake but after you finished your first lap you had to come out of the water and run through this shout(see below photo) and re-enter the water and do a second lap.
Ah done with the swim and now looking for my running shoes to complete the long run to my bike.
Ah the bike gotta love the husband that bought me airobars- too bad that this 24mile bike route was 4loops with about 8-12 hills so each time I got into my bars here came another hill.
Thank goodness my kids were cheering me on and telling me how many laps to go cause on the backside of the loop the road was so bumpy that my bike computer fail off! very sad!!!!
Ah the finish line. I took 3rd in my age group with a official time of 2hr 50min (I started in the second swim heat that's why the main clock states 25436) My husband did great at the photo taking but did ask if our friend Kat could come to the next event to take photo's cause he had a really hard time figuring out whither to cry or take a photo. it is amazing what you can do to make your husband so proud!
Oh the crazy on the run you ask.....half of the run was sand other half big rocks-my knees and ankles are a little sore-

Overall I really loved the Olympic Triathlon length over the Sprint but stay tuned in 5weeks I will have the Longhorn 70.3 Iron man to post for you all.

Pre-K

Jon Cole's First day of Pre-K......one would think he would be going to Kindergarten this year but he is only Four:)

Tyeann and Jon Cole
Yep Mommy and Jon Cole both look like we could go back to sleep!
He gave me a good taste for next year cause he didn't even want me to walk him into school and he wanted me to pick him up in the car pool lane!

20 Minutes later w/a SMART BUSY BOY!

One would ask, "How do you keep a SMART BUSY BOY occupied?"
We gave Jon Cole the old boat stereo and the next blink of an eye he has his screwdriver and......

He has it taken apart.....so the answer ... give the SMART BUSY BOY electronics! Don't worry we saved all of the parts cause I believe in a few years when he is 6yrs old I'm going to have him put it back together!!!!

3rd GRADE

Tyeann was ready to start a new school this year since the new elementary was built right next to our home but with the new living arrangement it meant that she would start at Speegleville(MISD) and would find herself among many awaiting friendships.
Her quote today was"I'm excited & a little nervous but I'll make friends for sure" Tyeann just loved her first day outfit and it was way groovy which is her classroom theme"GROOVY"
I just love this girl

Anything for a Daughter?

Two Days at Schiltterbahn and all I heard from my daughter was "can we please do that"!
I'm scared of heights and figured that my 8yr old would soon forget ..... ah yeah don't think so! Daddy how about you-it's your little girl? but when Daddy says no he means no- ah back to mommy and you know us, we can't break our daughters heart! Oh again, I'm completely scared of heights so I had to look for a reinforcement-Grandpa!
so here we go up, up, up! notice my eyes! we all lived and I would have to say my heart did stop right before pulling the rip cord! I also felt pretty sorry for the person who was to wear this suit thing after me since I completely sweated it out!!!! Sure do love you Tyeann! and thank you Grandpa!
