Tyeann Softball SuperStar!

Tyeann had a great 2010 Softball season! She was First baseman (you'll see why below) and lead off hitter. She was nicknamed stretch! She really found the love for the game this year! Tyeann is such a smart player- she was running to third to pull her double into a triple, their third baseman had the ball and Tyeann instantly went down to slide into third. caught the baseman off guard and in return the baseman dropped the ball and Tyeann was safe as the crowd yelled "Now that's a softball player" Jesse and I were sooooo proud! And yes tyeann asked for time and made sure the third base gal was ok.
Tyeann catching a foul ball!

Here's Tyeann stretching for a bad throw to her! Runner OUT!
Needless to say we really needed some better throws to first but Tyeann was able to make all of the errors into outs!
Lead off hitter! She will inherit my HS nickname "speedy"

Still bubble gum! but every now an than seeds did come out!

Summer of Jon Cole

So Summer of 2009 my son asked me if he could have a Mohawk and I was nice and said no. Well I came home after a birth and daddy was nice and gave our boy his wish. August of 2009 we had to cut it off for pre-school and to a 4yr boy he was not very happy with me. so like many mothers I told him that when pre-school is over May 2010, if he would like another Mohawk I would be happy to cut his hair and give him one. I really thought kids forget things but not my boy. this picture is taking 2hours after pre-school let out for the summer. It only took him 2seconds(before he even clipped his seat belt) in the car in the pick up line to ask for his Mohawk. As my husband says...better now at 5years than when he is 16yr? hum well see.

Galveston Fun and Tri

Pro Triathlete Terenzo Bozzone and winner of this Ironman 70.3 gave Tyeann a high five and this picture made it on the front page of the local paper! We hope to see him again to get him to autograph it for her! I had a very fast bike ride but it was very windy!
I'm running! 6miles in the heat- it was hot hot hot
Ah the finish line. I really hate the time, it never reflects my real time cause I seem to always be in the last starting wave.
Can you tell it was windy there! But my kids love the waves!!! beach fun all weekend long!

Easter 2010

This was my first Easter making this Easter Bunny cake. My mother made one almost every Easter, I hope this brings some memories back for you!
Good thing that we were done looking for Easter eggs cause finding this snake was enough for all of us to be done!

Even our dogs wanted to paint the Easter eggs this year!

Jon Cole is our hot boy but again it was a beautiful day in April!
Miss Tyeann and her Easter day attire, no dresses or pink for her.

Our Duathlon together

Texas Motor Speedway Duathlon February 21, 2010: 2mile run, 15mile bike, 2mile run what a great way to spend a race on the TX nascar race track than with the husband.
here he comes....
what a finish Jesse.... I'm so glad that I was able to take these photo's of you!
what a great race and weekend together. We drove up the day before and the joys of my race started to unfold as Jesse's stayed glued together. See on my end this is what happened...(1) The bike I was using to race on turned out to be two small but hey the race wasn't that long, I could deal with it. (2) picked up race packet and they didn't have a sm t-shirt for me they ran out-now we all know that I do the race for the t-shirt so that bumbed me out. they said they would order me one and mail it to me-still waiting- (3) the front tire on the bike had a small hole in it so I decided to use fast zipp tubular tires-which are known to never flat and if they do u have to replace everything which I didn't have-but I didn't want to flat with that other tire. (4) race morning our camper got stuck in the mud but luckily 15mis later and lots of flying mud we got unstuck. (5) at the race site it started to pour-delay of race by 30mins and my cycle shoes full of water. (6) right before the race started my race bib ripped off of my race belt- luckily I switched race belts with Jesse. (7) Jesse and Blake were in the wave before me so I didn't get to start with them. (8) on my way to T1 and my race bid tore off again and I stuffed it into my shirt. (9) lap one of three the seat of the bike started to slide around. (10) Lap 3 my back tubular that was to never flat flatted- so the last of the bike loop I was ridding very slow just to get into T2. (11) in T2 my race bib was gone.....
I finished the race with enough time to get my camera to take photo's of Jesse. So over all it was a great race.... I didn't get my t-shirt but I did a first place in my age group.
this will be a race to remember!!!

Snow AGAIN

Texas got hit again with SNOW- this time it was during the school week so the kids got a early release day and a late start day to enjoy the snow. Jon Cole built a snowman but he called it his Christmas tree:)
Tyeann built this snowman and she did call it a snowman.
Snow Ball Fight...

Family Marathon

January 30 and 31st Me and the kids completed our first ever Marathon 26.2miles.
For two months the kids were allowed to run miles and add them together so on the morning of January 30, 2010 they would only have to run 1 mile to equal a full Marathon. And boy what a morning- it was soooo cold and Jon Cole's exact words were "do we have to swim or just run today"? love him. Tyeann took off running on her own and I promised that I would be at her finish line to take photo's and cheer. She looks like me all bundled up! She never stopped! so proud!!

Jon Cole had daddy running with him and as soon as he saw the finish line he took off! He never stopped during the mile run! what a big accomplishment for a Five yr old.

So here I am finishing my first full Marathon....so let me tell you what! My long runs are usually only 6-8miles and I have only run 15miles and 18miles once! but I had to support Waco and get it into my head that I could run and finish 26.2miles. I really think I should of thought this whole thing through. Everyone said this was the hardest Marathon in TX, the last 15miles were all hills, it was 24degrees at the start, mile 19 it started to snow and what was I thinking.....maybe I am a mental patient. I crossed the finish line in 4.04hours feeling good but very frozen!!!! I may have to run another one in a flat and warm climate to see how fast I can run- hum maybe not:) LOL
